1978 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham Salon (Salon)
Last updated Apr 28, 2007
This is a Salon model, which was the first Chrysler to use a basecoat/clearcoat paint. Unique in the Salon option package were either red or light grey cloth velour or leather interior, special wheel centers and rings, Imperial formal rear window, leather-wrapped steering wheel, factory buffed Silver paint (only color on the Salon!). We are the fourth owners. The first three were all in Iowa, and the car was never garaged more than 50 miles from the original selling dealer in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
440 4-bbl w/ELB, auto, tilt/tele, cruise, air, AM/FM/8-track, power everything, basically has all of the NYB options except CB, leather, Auto-Ride, and Auto-Temp.
None. This is a bone-stock '78 NYBS with just over 100K miles on it.
