- Description: Well, I just turned my car over to 100,000 miles. For a minute or so my odometer read all zeros. The last time it read that was when it was built in Flint, Michigan in late1977. And thats not the only thing that turned over either. The 200C metric trans thats in the car, which was rebuilt about 2,000 miles ago, is going belly up. ( First the floor, now the trans. Damn it!, my El Camino never gave me this kind of trouble! :) ) Fortunately I picked up a Turbo 350 out of a 70 camaro for a whopping $40. I am having it rebuilt with a shift kit and a street performance torque converter and a new flex plate.
