'baby gurl', or simply known as 'the Z', has been in our family since she was purchased in 1980. we have been the original owners of the car its entire life. my dad bought the car when it first came out. (from what he told me, he was actually looking at a 240Z, but fell in love with how the amber-colored gauges lit up everything once you turned the lights on :) i cant argue with that either) he drove it around as he was stationed from marine base to marine base with my mom. we ended up being deployed overseas, so the car has sat covered for 10yrs in texas.

once we got back stateside, my dad gave me the car and left me in charge of getting it running. (my grandpa gave up starting the car once every month or so while we were gone) the only bad thing was trying to get all the insects out that had made 'baby gurl' their home.

the car is completely in stock ORIGINAL condition, carpet, interior trimming, with the exception of a few vinyl pieces that were recovered over the span of having it. baby gurl is my DAILY DRIVER and is just about to break 140,000 original miles too :)

Mods

tried to keep the car original... but wanted a cd player in it. i chose to keep the stock look of the car by installing a cd player in the glove box, invisible to everyone. i also built a subwoofer for the rear hatch, but instead of trying to hide it in an open space of a datsun hatch, why not try to compliment it? i love the datsuns, and how my Z was one of the last datsuns; before they became nissans. i covered the 10" sub box in carpet to match the interior, and placed a datsun logo from the back of a 240Z, in tribute to the car's heritage :)
