1984 Pontiac Fiero SE (Forgotten Survivor)
Last updated Feb 5, 2015
This car was purchased as is and not running by a friend of mine for his young son to be used as his first car. After a couple years the interest was lost and the car was offered to me. Given the low miles and condition of the car I felt the offer was solid and brought it home. A near twin other than color to my first Fiero sucked me in. Apparent problems were the engine did not turn over and a part of the clutch arm was missing. Engine issue turned out to be a disconnected clutch pedal safety switch and I purchased a new clutch arm. Car needed severe maintenance, but now runs fairly well. Need to clean up the brakes yet and change oil in the trans before it gets a road test. I also plan to add power windows and locks along with power windows to complete the package. Factory wheels are getting polished and will get new Goodyear Eagles when they are done. This car is being put together as a summer toy for my wife to drive and save some cash on gas instead of driving her Silverado every day.
