Better things are ahead. Once you graduate, you'll be able to devote some time and money to finding an even better car than this one was, and then be able to put the time, effort, and yes, money into making it better still.
Is there some place you could keep the car out of the elements? It would take some work to prepare the car for long-term storage (Taking out the interior and any other items made unusable by the fire, smoke, or water damage like wiring, hoses, and belts), but in the long run that labor now would pay dividends later on. Keep it under a cover with pest control in and around the car to keep animals and insects away.
