I need to find some stock-car wheels that don't hang out the fenders like the ones that came with the kit.

The rubber bands are holding the body to the chassis not a drive-line component. Sorry.

I still have to finish the roll-cage and rear cover.

Like I said previously, I started this then got distracted so it's far from being finished!

Good thing about these decals are that they are actually stickers for a 1/24 scale slot-car so they haven't deteriorated like water-slide decals do.

I think this is going to be built as a project in-the-works. Put it on jack stands with the engine on a stand and transmission in a crate. Seats, dash and other interior stuff beside it on a work bench like it was really being built.

I can build this the right way now that I've worked on some real drag cars for the true set-up details.

With each spray with oven cleaner and Simple Green bath a different color was revealed, 6 or 7.

This car was so coated it was almost like it was spayed with truck box-liner.

It may get a real shave-job and a cool paint-job!

I've got a pick for the vents and that cracked "A" pillar will glue right together.

This one wasn't all that bad but there were cracks in a lower layer of paint that showed into the sweet brown metallic. It was originally sapphire blue over silver base. So it didn't have too much paint on it.

I hit that spot with 400 and it came right off without getting into the plastic. I'll 600 or 800 the rough stuff and scotch-brite the rest before paint. I think this one is getting real car paint! Black with blue pearl-coat!

I've never seen a '74 Nova model kit. I converted 2 other kits into '74s to represent my first Nova and what I intended to build it into. This one was going to be my great Aunt Lucille's SS. True story, my Grandma's sister-in-law had an SS!

I'm sure I have at least one car in my parts-car box that can be a willing donor.

I thought for sure this one was a goner! I'm happy I could save it and revive a custom converted '72 into a '74. This one is the 3rd one I built.
