This car is my favorite right now. I have re-workwed so much of it to make it fun the way I wanted fun. It has many aftermarket parts in the suspension and drive train. I love to track this car, I have been on Road Atlanta, Sebring< Roebling Road, VIR Talladega Gran Prix raceway and Barber. So far.
The best part is keeping up with the cars that never expect to see you in their rear view. And then passing them is even more fun.
Bought the car in April 05, Took home a pile of junk for $350. Started out stripping it to bare bones did paint work. Then went thru the suspension and replaced all wear parts doing various upgrades as it went along. Then started on the engine, a 2.7L I6 Put a 323i euro head on it after porting and upsizing the valves to max it will support. Running headers and large size throttle body. It is a very fast running go kart at the moment.
Drove it that way a while then early last year I found an Eaton M90 blower and fabbed up all the mounts and piping for the intercooler. Still running the SC and working on upping boost to about 10psi or so in progress .
Right now I am barely pulling 6 psi on a good day..
