About
I purchased this car in January 2006. The purchase originally made my Z06 into the garage queen instead of the daily driver. Since a number of the upgrades and the purchase of the 2008 Corvette, the Monte Carlo has become the play car. I am the 4th owner and it has been a South Florida car all of its life. I am currently in the process of restoring and modifying this SS.
Current projects done on this SS:
Jasper Stage II 350 Motor - Estimated by shop at 380+hp (See specs and modifications for more info)
Rebuilt 200-4R - can handle over 650hp
ZEX 100 shot NOS with dual nitrous tanks and red LED purge kit
Strange 9" rear end
Line Loc
Dress-up of motor (Billet Specialties Valve Covers, Breathers, chrome water pump, chrome intake, chrome fuel pump, SS braided sleeved hoses and more)
Suspension features: Eiback lowering springs, Hotchkis Sway Bars, Edelbrock rear Adj Upper Control Arms, Edelbrock rear Boxed Lower Control Arms
Wheels: SLP ZR-1 Replica 17"
Specs
Jasper Built Stage II 350 with close to 400 hp.
Professionally built 200-4R transmission that can hold up to 650 hp.

Interior restoration
Oct 29, 2011
Interior has been completely restored. I gutted the entire interior, replaced from the headliner to the carpet, dash to the rear deck. I still need to take pictures of the new interior. The next part is the body work...which will start shortly.
Rear End and 100hp Shot of Nitrous Added.
Oct 29, 2008
So, to get the Monte Carlo ready for drag racing, I didn't want to take a chance with the factory 7.5 rear end. That has been ditched in favor of a Strange Engineering S60...
Additional work in progress
Mar 30, 2008
With me retiring my Daytona R/T from drag racing, I am concentrating on making my Monte Carlo SS and my Corvette into my drag cars. For the Monte Carlo, to be a stronger contender in the GM Challenge at Moroso Motorsports Park, the shop is finishing up the...
