1987 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 4x4 (Ugly Truck)
Last updated Oct 27, 2013
We started off looking for a 2-door but came across this 4-door and bought it for a reasonable price. The bed we got in Dallas, Texas. My dad loved his 1986 2-door step side he had in his younger days, so he wanted another one. Since Chevy never made a 4-door step side, he thought he might do it. He cut the frame himself in our backyard. The truck was forever called The Ugly Truck by my aunt, because before the frame was cut, there was a gap between the bed and the cab. Even though it all looks good now, that name sticks. Believe it or not, the gray is an original color. This truck gets more attention than most things on the road, I still haven't found out why. It wasn't built for attention, it was built because it's what we love.
