1992 Pontiac Trans Am convertible (the 92 bird)

Trophies: 5 Give a trophy Last updated Jun 11, 2008

Photo of a 1992 Pontiac Trans Am convertible (the 92 bird)

About

bought this rare bird thru my brothers dealership which took it in on a trade. Gave a riduculosly low price for it. When it was purchased it would run great in dry weather and miss terribly in the rain. A new set of plugs, distributor, wires and a tune up later the problem disappeared. Never owned a convertible before, a lot of difference between my t-top cars and this one. This is a rare bird due to it five speed trans and convertible combo. It took second place in its class in 2007 at Stars event in Destin. Will upgrade (keeping oe motor ) to a 5.7 soon. Great fun to drive for a 3rd gen

Specs

5.o liter , 5 speed manual, manual convertible top, interior and top new... making fiberglass roadster tonneau at present. Hope to have completed prior to this year's STARS.
