About
This car was meant to be mine. The paint job is extremely meaningful and special - it was done just after September 11th. There are hands with water flowing from them on the hood, with the water flowing into two large American flags that cover the front fenders. We start in order of importance - the hands belong to God, because everyone needs to believe in some greater being than ourselves, the water represents the most important element on the earth - without it, there would be no life, the flags represent freedom, without freedom we wouldn't be who we are.
The plans are to continue the design to the back quarter panels with newspaper clippings noting September 11th on both sides, the Twin Tower and Pentagon images, as well as an airplane with flames surrounding all elements. The only thing holding us back from completing this is that the car was rear ended sometime ago and we can't find a replacement trunk lid. The current lid weighs about 50 lbs and is full of bondo that everytime we shut the trunk paint chips off...urgh.
We were in the Memorial Day Parade in 2006 in Washington DC and humbly escorted three of America's finest from the 101st Infantry - I can't wait to do it again in 2007.
While you may not like the paint job, please enjoy the story and what it represents - God, Life and Freedom.
