I wanted a red TA convertible for a daily driver. It had to have the WS6 package, it had to have Ram Air, and had to be under 100k miles. Problem was, they all ran about $10,000.00 or more.

I just happen to be browsing Craigs List for cheap vehicles I could buy and flip, and I found a tow truck for $600. I jumped on that deal, drove to his home early in the morning, gave it the once over and told him it needed a lot of work, and offered $250.

He took it! I drove the tow truck home! It really didn't need much work, and I even got the winch going again. I put it back on Craigs List as a working Tow Truck, and tried to get $3000 for it.

I guy called and said his son HAD to have my Tow Truck for his new buisness. He said he would give me the 3k, OR, I could have his motorhome! He said the motor home was worth at least 6 or 7k and ran great.

I drove the Tow Truck to where his motorhome was, and checked it out. It was awesome! We traded titles, and I drove the motorhome home! My wife was in shock! It was huge! It had a big gas generator, air conditioning, a big dish and tv antenna on the roof, and just needed some carpet to make it like new.

My buddy had just replaced the carpet in his basement, and gave me his old carpet. It was just enough to do the entire motorhome. I put it on Ebay and got $6500.00 for it!

That's when I found my Red TA! It had a bad tranny, but the rest was perfect! He wanted $7,000 for it. I offered $5k, and he countered with $5500! I trailer the TA right to Aamco and got the tranny fixed for $1500!

I've been driving it everyday to work now for years! I've had it up to 130 mph, and it could have gone a lot more.

Anyone can go out and spend their hard earned money on a car, but to start out with a $250 Tow Truck and end up with this 1 or 296 TA's with just a little elbow grease makes me love it that much more!
