Drivetrain Performance

Previous engine was a 3.0L Duratec V-6 with full cold air intake, SVT intake manifolds, port and polished 2.5L SVT cylinder heads, SVT camshafts, ST220 valve springs, MSDS headers, optimized Y-pipe, TruBendz dual exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers. Engine died in September due to a spun bearing.

Current engine in progress - 3.0L Duratec V-6 with "high power" cold air intake, Extrude Honed 2.5L upper intake manifold port-matched to 3.0L oval port lower intake manifold, port and polished 3.0L cylinder heads, custom valve springs, SCCA touring car camshafts, custom 3.0L pistons, custom long-tube headers. Exhaust from headers back will remain the same.

Transmission is an MTX-75 five-speed transaxle with updated syncros, forks and shift tower. Previous clutch was a Centerforce Dual Friction. New clutch will be a SPEC Stage 1 clutch. Other modifications include SPEC lightweight flywheel, B&M short throw shifter and Quiafe limited-slip differential.

Engine management is done with an SCT Superchip tuned by Logan Motorsports in South Elgin, IL.

Suspension Performance

D2 fully adjustable coil over and strut suspension, tubular front lower control arms, boxed-in rear subframe with custom end links, Roush 21 mm sway bar, customer rear strut brace, OMP front strut brace, poly-filled motor mounts, Energy Suspension urethane bushings, 18" Centerline Vantage wheels in black pearl (15 lbs each vs. 19 lbs for stock), BF Goodrich KDW G-force II tires.

Interior Modifications

Corbeau VX-2000 racing seats, Corbeau four-point retractable harnesses, carbon fiber dash kit, A-pillar gauge pod with Speedhut oil pressure and water temperature gauges, Speedhut custom white-faced gauges, rear-seat delete with custom false floor.

Exterior Modifications

Smoked side markers, 20 percent window tint and body-color matched tail light covers.

Future Modifications

Direct-port nitrous oxide injection, black Krylon of interior pillar pieces, recover headliner with black fabric, paint headlights and tail lights to match body, Hybryd 2 body kit, big brake kit and carbon fiber hood.
