2000 Pontiac Firebird Base (Samantha)
Last updated Feb 21, 2012
I bought this car back in October of 2011 after my car was totaled in early September. As of now (February 21, 2012) I have driven the car for about a month of that time. It has been in and out of the shop for numerous repairs including catalytic converters, Fuel pump, oil pump, rear differential, spider gears, rack and pinion, clutch, throw out bearing, master and slave cylinder, and most recently, a new motor. After paying $5,500 for the car including tax title and license, I just crossed the $6,800 mark for repairs. I now have $12,000 car! It still needs some minor work, but it is mostly cosmetic at this point in time being that it is basically new front to back. Going to get the door panels replaced, redo the interior, and paint it within a few months. After paint and such, I will be looking towards beefing up the motor and exhaust a little. I loved the look of this car when I first went car shopping after the accident, and I knew I had to have it. I waited for about a month to put money down on it so that I could call it mine. The dealer selling it didn't like selling sports cars to kids, but I'm no kid. I'm an experienced car wrecker! I paid it off rather quickly and then it kind of started falling apart on me. I kept up with the repairs and maintenance, and I have a solid running car.
All I know about it at this point in time is that it is a 3.8 V6 5 speed transmission. Just got the new motor in it, so I don't know the specifics of the re manufactured motor.
Nothing fancy. CD player and manual everything else.
Nothing as of right now, but those will be coming soon.
