Two things to notice here: I didn't pay anything like that bottom line, and 28mpg highway out af a car with this kind of performance!

Congratulations on your new ride! I can imagine you driving it on a warm day next summer with the top down, your hair streaming out behind you and a big ol' grin on your face! biggrin image

It's amazing what Chevy has done with the LS series V8s. Everyone says that pushrods are obsolete and Chevy just keeps improving theirs. Your larger, "obsolete" 5.7L V8 gets better fuel economy than my sophisticated DOHC 4.0L V8 in the Jaguar. Yes it is smooth and quick revving, but I miss the low end grunt of a good pushrod V8 like I had in my '87 Mercury Cougar.

I haven't looked at depreciation on Corvettes, but my Jag stickered at over $80,000 and the price fell so far I picked it up for less than $20,000 with about 43,000 miles and in perfect shape. Jaguars history of unreliability is still hurting its newer vehicles.
