Well, I have lost the love I had for my Bonneville so I have been thinking for a while that it is time to say goodbye. I really wanted an Avalanche but my hubby didnt want me to deal with the gas hog it would be so then I started thinking about the Subaru Baja. I had never seen one in person but saw pics and thought it looked like a mini Avalanche so wanted to check one out. Closest one to my area was almost 200 miles away in Chippewa Falls, WI. We drove there to check it out and I felt disappointed in a few things. Size was the biggest disappointment lol as I thought it would be bigger. lol So as I went for a test drive with the manager in my own car to get a trade in value, I told him my disappointment and pointed at the Sport trac as we drove past it and said I was hoping for something more along that size and look but figured that was out of my price range. We went inside after the test drive and was discussing the money issues on the Baja when the manager came over and knelt down beside me saying "It is obvious you really are not too thrilled and actually disappointed in the Baja so I suggest we go for a test drive in the Sport Trac as that seemed to put a sparkle in your eye and actually is cheaper than the Baja." So I jumped up and took it for a spin and the smile on my face said it all to the sales guy with us. I wanted it checked over good before driving it home so they are doing that first thing Monday morning and then will call me to arrange a delivery date. Since I used my Bonneville as a trade, they were trying to get me a car to drive home from a rental place but they were all closed. So I ended up with the depressing news that I had to drive my old car back home to wait for my new ride to come home to me. Kinda weird signing a rental agreement on my old car. lol Oh well, I am looking forward to my black beauty getting here and getting to drive it! Thank you Lord for my AWESOME husband for getting this for me!
