I had to have a hobby car after selling my 2002 Corvette and simply couldn't find another Vette that really jumped out at me (and that I could afford). While looking at a used Vette on the Jenkins and Wynne Ford used car lot in Clarksville, TN, I happened to mention my love for the Mustang Bullitt, but simply couldn't find one. The salesman said come on with me. On the showroom floor were 4 cars...three of which I couldn't afford in this lifetime, a new Ford GT40, a Mustang Shelby convertible, a Shelby coupe and this beautiful 08 Bullitt. Three weeks later, I went back and bought it. So far I'm very impressed with it. Ford deleted much of the glitter on the exterior and reduced the weight from 3800 down to about 3500. They raised the horsepower to 315 which, according to car magazines allows the Bullitt to run the quarter mile in 13:6 at something around 105...decent for a Mustang. I'm sure (knowing me) that I won't be satisfied until I can get it into the 12s at least, but for now, I'm enjoying the car very much.

Specs

Mustang Bullitt, 3500 lbs, 4.6 liter engine, 315 HP. Upgraded from Mustang GT with 3:73 gears, 300 less lbs, 315 horsepower, upgraded breaks, shocks, anti roll bars, shock tower connector and cold air intake from Ford Racing. I expect it to run the 1/4 mile in at least 13.6 seconds (that's what my 68 Charger 440 RT did) and with the suspension upgrades, I'm sure it will do fairly well in a road course. The book says it will do 151 MPH.

Sirius radio, Shaker 500 sound system (much better than the Bose in the Vette)

Mods

No mods yet, but I'm sure I will do a Diablo Predator and probably a throttle body upgrade and a few other bolt ons.
