In the spring of 1983, the year before I graduated from the Univ. of MD, I ordered a medium blue with Silver ground effects and blue interior Camaro Z28 from Rockmont Chevrolet in Rockville, MD. The car had a base 305 carburated engine and no T-tops. During the time I owed the car, I got married and had 3 children. Priorities change and after 15 years sold the car with 42,000 original miles for $2,500. I was sorry to see that car go so cheap.

Times changed and now I'm in a position to relive my fond memories of the car. This past fall I began searching for a 83 Z28 to replace the one I use to own. Came across this one. Everything was the same, 305 base engine, no T-tops. The only difference was this was black with gold ground effects and gold interior. When I got the car it road, handled and smelled just like the one I use to own. Oh, the best thing about it is it has on 6,900 original miles!

To some of you, the car may seem very familiar. Well it is. It was once owned by fellow Motortopia Mr. Z.
