About
Toyota's test bed for a car that would eventually dominate the import scene of the late 90's, driven by a turbocharged 3.0liter inline 6 composed of an iron block and aluminum head, capable of holding over 500 horsepower reliably on stock cast pistons and rods. Competed in Group A rally events, various racing series across the globe and was even the quickest production car in Japan before the debut of Nissan's Skyline R32.
Specs
Rebuilt 7mgte: Stock rods, pistons, 6m crank, Cometic MHG, ARP Head Bolts. HP/TQ unknown, car has never been dynoed before so benching at its best would put it a little above 200hp.
Factory Options
Targa, TEMS, Turbo, Grey cloth interior,Turbo Wing.
Mods
Engine: Rebuilt 7m with less than 20 miles on it. Cometic MHG, ARP Headbolts, K/N Intake, 3 inch elbow/downpipe.
Fuel: Walbro 255 Pump, MAF-translator.
Drivetrain: Swapped from auto to Manual (R154), using Redline MT90 and Marlin Crawler nylon bushings to smoothen and stiffen shifts.
