About “The Z”
Well I should start off by telling a little story behind how I got/found my Z..
I spent over a year looking for a mint 1996 Z26, for a good price, and not a lot of miles. I saved up all my money throughout highschool, and set it aside JUST for a Z26. One weekend my dad and I went Beretta searching, and had nothing but bad luck, and people lying about their cars condition...like one guy w/ a white Z in MN let us test drive it, and it pulled SO hard to the right, so we let him know..and he said "Ohh..well I never noticed it before"..then that Z was also a "fake Z26" and he wouldn't admit to that either...so after a few run-ins like that.. I gave up. No less than TWO days later, my older brother called me about a Z26 he found in the paper, in Minneapolis,MN. He went and looked at it for me and told me this was it, being that it was in a BIG city, I didn't expect much,or for it to be in good condition, I went to look at it the next day with my brother and sister, and when the garage door opened, I think I fell over a little bit. Moral of the story, I bought it THAT day.
I've had the car since November 5th, 2002 from the original owner, it was always garage kept, and maintaned well.. with about 69,000 miles on it at the time of purchase. This car is my pride and joy, and I have put a LOT of time into it, to keep it in the best shape I possibly can.
The car is now garage kept every winter, and never sees the sights or sounds of snow, or salt sand. This year, I'll be driving our GTZ as my winter beater.
