This Monte's History
I bought this Monte Carlo in 1999 from a farmer. About 1 year after I had been hit and run in my first Monte Carlo, a 1972. (It was totaled) The farmer was asking $3,000 for it. I talked him down to $1,500 and took her home.
The Monte was in BAD shape when I got it. It had a 1972 dog house on it, due to the guy wrecking it after getting drunk one night. So that was the first thing I had to fix. After that, I found a LOT of rust when taking off the stainless steel trim around the bottom edge of the car to get ready to start the body work for a new paint job. (It was 3 colors by this point.)
With the help of my Dad and husband, we cut out all the rust and bad spots and replaced it all with new medal. After getting all the bad spots fixed, I decided to just keep off the stainless steel trim, so I shaved the side markers, mirrors, emblems, and hood ornament off to give it a different look from all the other First generation Montes out there.
After about 2.5 years, I got a great job where I get killer deals on Air Ride and Tires, So thought, why not. I could not pass up the chance to put full Air Ride on the Monte for way less then market price. Just one more way to make it stand out from all the other First Generation Montes out there.
My husband does 70% of the work on the Monte with me helping now and then when I am not careing for the kids. (I used to get to help more befor he kids) The other 30% we had helped with or had someone do it that knew what they were doing, and we did not…
1987 Monte Carlo Aero Coupe We just purchased this car. It has been well kept in original unrestored condition.

To everyone who has helped get this car fixed up so far.
The #1 person is my husband Chris Beers. He did the majoraty of the work on the Monte. With me helping when I could, between takeing care of the kids.
To name some of the otheres, Lou Raykovich, my Dad. Also Mike Peplinski, the owner of Asylum Autowerks (Was Called Sinister Autosports - Change May 2010), who did all the custom work in my trunk and more. As well as Matt Bluiett and his Girlfriend Kenyacta for all the final prep and custom paint work!
Thanks So Much!
It has been a great joy getting this Monte fixed up and I appreciate the help people have given me with stuff I did not know how to do, or helped so it would get finished faster. Lord knows everyone was going crazy waiting to see her done. Since it only took my husband Chris, and I a little over 10 years, lots of time, money and TLC. That’s why it took so long too. We could not afford to do it all at once, had to save and do it a little at a time.
