About “Hill Billy”

Here is the 1984 Ford Ranger 4x4 that my brother and I own. We found it for sale in a field in bad shape, but knew its potential. The owner wanted $400 for it originally, but my brother talked the seller down to $360 and we took it home. "Hill Billy" is a constant work in progress. We are always looking for ways to improve it's appearance and performance. The engine is a 115 horsepower carbureted 2.8 L Ford Cologne V6. The ranger has a 5-speed Mazda M5OD-R1 manual transmission. Over the course of a few months, my brother and I had achieved the basic look we wanted for the truck. With many new parts, add-ons, modifications, and styling, the truck now looks better and runs better than it has in years. And after about a year i bought an old ranger with a lift kit and swapped the suspension to achieve the lift on the original truck.
