I have owned this car 9 years we drive it as much as we can we won a drive it award last year from NRCA we are very proud to accept this award.
Owned 20+years. 3rd owner. Was parked in a garage from 1972 until 1984. Black paint was Earl Schiebe done in early 1972 by original owner. It's been rubbed and buffed and still shines bright. Even Earl's paint back then was better then most today.
After I bought it in 1984 I built the Flathead up. .070 overbore with Isky cam & lifters, Edmunds head, Offy Intake w/2 carbs. Split exh.Ran 19.76 in the 1/4 mile at L.A.C.R. vs 29.07 stock. Best early MOPAR at it's first MOPAR Nats held at L.A.C.R.
After 12 years and 4 head gasket changes I swappedin a V8 with Edlebrock SP2P intake, Holley 650, MSD 6A.
Was my daily driver for many years. Still gets 20 mpg and cruises all day long at 2000 RPM = 65 mph.
It's just a blast to cruz in and get looks from even the rice rocket croud... It inspired both my sons to build their own cars. Oldest had a '64 Malibu SS and the yougest a 29 Ford Roadster first and then a '57 Fairlane..

Everything has been touched. 6 rows of louvers in the hood, velour interior, Fury III rear end w/2:78 gears, B&M shifter, Vette Master cyl and Volari front disc brakes. MSD 6A ign box, Holley 650 carb on 70's Edlebrock SP2P intake, carter electric fuel pump. 4 row radiator, Electric cooling fans, SBC, .030 over bore, port matched intake. Grey velour interior and owner done carpet and headliner. halygen head lights, Ron Frances rear brite bulbs. rewired by Hollywood Hotrods. Cut coil springs in front, rear springs made by Hollywood spring. Car lowered 3 inches. Gas shocks, relocated front mounts. Rear mounted battery box. Cherry Bomb glass packs. bummper bolts shaved.
Flames done by friend Mike Bishop (American Rodder Mag) and myself in my garage over a few 6 packs of Pepsi just before the cars maden voyage to the first Goodguys West coast nats. So.Cal. to Nor.Cal. trip with my older son. It's made the trek 4 times since with the old Flat head engine singing through dual exhaust and a pair of Cherry Bomb muffs.
With the help of my Canadian MOPAR friends I am changing the trim over to '48 Dodge specs as this car was sold in Canada as a Dodge. Really messes with peoples minds at MOPAR events here in So.Cal. as they are all into late model stuff and know very little about pre-60's MOPARS.
