Head to Head

About “1950 CHEVY HALF bad boy”

Straight six offers adequate power, but the 4:11 rear end ratio makes the truck limited on freeway travel. Future plans call for either late model 4 or 5 speed trans with open driveshaft and taller gears, or possible V8/4 speed combo. We know the car scene it always appreciative of anything other than the proverbial small block Chevrolet, but you can't argue with success. Plus, there is not much that beats the sound of a manually shifted V8! Either way, it will require a replacement rear axle for taller gears. Let's shake the parts tree in the future, and see what falls down.

About “The $800 Craigslist Van”

The project I fell into last fall after the '54 left for LA and the Kids' fate was secured by the Bel Air funded lawyer.

It works great for hauling t-shirts and vending at car shows. Started innocently enough with a set of big and little rally wheels but I wasn't smart enough to leave it alone.

So, what could be funnier than a ****ty 90's van patched-up and made to look like a 70's shaggin wagon?

This kind of stuff happens if a car/graphics guy doesn't have something decent to work on in the winter. Somebody please take away my paint gun.

I'm well aware of the fact that I'm a huge dork. Thank you for your concern :o)

What does Kaitlyn have to say about this whole mess? She hasn't pinned a name on it yet. Whenever she catches me calling it a "truck", she is pretty quick to remind me that live in the no-man's land occupied by vans & el caminos. "It's a van dad." Thank you for reminding me peanut.

I will say there's nothing like having your cell phone number in blue metalflake plastered down the side of something like this. Ladies. . . I'm single. Wanna go for a ride in my bitchin' van? Lol
