About “Storm Trooper”
My boyfriend got tired of my driving my all-original, low mile 1986 Firebird in all kinds of weather and traffic, so on the anniversary of our first date, he surprised me with the down payment on a car he had found at a local dealer that he thought I'd like. I'm not too crazy about white, but as for the rest of the car, I'm there! A small, sporty convertible with an automatic and low miles is just what I'd have looked for if I knew I was looking for a car! I saw his logic because, just earlier today, I almost got clobbered in my Firebird by some lady in an Explorer who was talking on a cell phone. She ran a red light and if I hadn't nailed the brakes she would have put an end to my car..... and maybe ME!
(I had originally called this car "White Fire" until a Motortopia friend said that it's front end reminded him of a Storm Trooper from "Star Wars". I had to agree, and I liked it so much that I changed the car's name!)
About “Flame Red”
This is my first car, it’s my baby! It was given to me by my parents the day I got my licenses. When I got it, it had the wrong size tires the floor mats where wore out and worst of all someone had sprayed undercoating all over the engine bay. After replacing the tires and the mats, I spent many many hrs cleaning all the undercoating off. The chemical I was using took the paint off in some spots on the inner fenders, so after the cleaning was done I painted those spots. It now has just over 60,000 miles on it and it only goes out on sunny days. This car is very rare, it is one of only 1,226 Neon R/T's built in 2002. I have added some tasteful mods to it, and I will never get rid of this car it means the world to me!!! I can't stand it when it’s dirty, I'm always cleaning it, most people think I'm nuts. All that cleaning pays off though because whenever someone sees it they are like "Wow that thing looks like it just came off the show room floor!" I will be the first to tell u it’s not perfect however. There are some dents and scratches, especially on the front bumper. Someday I might repaint the bumper, but it will never be perfect because it’s always gonna be driven and enjoyed!!!
