About “Miraclewhip”

I picked this car up from an older gentlman and his son, who had owned the car the previous 20 years, among a few other cars. They worked on this car for years, inside and out they made this car like new, except for a crack in the front dash and a ding in the rear bumper(shop accident). The car has 57,000 original miles. It had sat for years prior to the old gentleman purchasing it, so it needed some work. They had the tranny and engine rebuilt when it had about 32,000 miles, shortly after purchasing it. Over the years included a new interior, paint, undercoating, suspension, you name it.

I have had this car for about 2 years, I have replaced the rear dash, which had deteriorated over the years. I cut a new panel, and wrapped it in brown leather to match the paint, along with new Infiinity speakers, the front dash is currently on order, and will also be painted to match the exterior paint, I have also wrapped the upper door panels in matching brown leather, and painted the lower door panels white, also replacing the rubber arm rest on the door with real wood, the B pillars will also be wrapped in brown leather, and the remaining trim painted white, to match the exterior, I have yet to decide to reupholster the seats in white leather with brown piping or brown leather with white piping, suggestions welcome. I have also tinted the windows to 20% and installed HID headlamps, which are amazing, 3000k bulbs, which turn night into day. I plan on spending some time on the engine, increasing the horspower from 190 to the mid 400's, and advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Also just added the dual exhaust with rectangle tips, looks and sounds mean.

More pics coming soon, of the interior in progress.

About “The Black Stallion”

This was my family car AND my pride and joy... until it got wiped out by a semi in bumper-tp-bumper traffic on I-95 in Philly about a year ago. Trafgfic was moving at about 25 mph, and he just didn't slow down for it - must have been in a hurry! I was the third car from the tail end of the chain reaction crash that totalled nearly a dozen cars, killed a pregnant woman and a senior couple and sent 6 others, including myself, to the hospital. The truck driver was shook up but almost completely uninjured...

Once I got out of the hospital, I needed wheels, so that's where my Boxster comes into the story. I had the G.P. because we had a couple of teenagers, but they're both in college now, so we don't need two cars with back seats! My wife's Camry will do for that! I really hated for the Pontiac to go, since it was a quick, comfortable sedan, and I had personalized it to my taste, but since I'd always wanted a Porsche and could afford it, I replaced it with one!
