About “Mountain Cat”
I am from the Mississippi Gulf Coast and I work at one of the local Casino's here. I moved to Las Vegas after Hurricane Katrina for work. After living there for a few weeks, I had to get a car because I was depending on other ppl to get me to work. I bought this car in Oct. of '05 and it had barely over 60k miles and I got it for $6k out the door. Pretty good deal I think. No body damage and the inside was pretty clean. After moving back to MS in June of '06, the Mountain Cat came with me and made the 2k mile trip with no problem. In January of '08 I hit some debris on the road coming home one night from work and totaled my car! I bought her back from the insurance Co. and repaired the damage, but the fuel lines were destroyed and, with my luck, they were discontinued from the factory. So began my 2yr search for fuel lines! After finally finding some in good shape, the Cat is purring again. Another yr passes before I get the work on the front end completed, Upper and Lower Control Arms, tires, etc........, and get the road inspection so I can get my tag. Now I have my "Rebuilt Title" and the car isn't worth much to anyone but me. Now, I begin my quest to really make this Cat purr! This is all real new to me, so I'm not real sure where to begin, but I do need new rims for her because I believe mine are warped from the accident and I would love to have her painted. The body is in excellent condition. No dings or rust. Just oxidation, scratches and what looks like the clear coat wearing off. Any input would be greatly excepted!
