Head to Head

About “Lil' Red”

I just traded the Challenger for an all original numbers matching solid Mustang GT Fastback S code. New interior, low miles.. little rust... The S code is the 390 Big Block motor.. this car has a Marti report, Original Owners manual with the steel temp tag still in it, and all its original sheet metal. A truely rare car and very valuable when restored.

About “Gold Mustang”

I found this Mustang on the internet a while back. It is a V-8, auto car with factory air and Pony interior. It ran good but was due for a paint job. It wasn't in bad shape and when I took the interior out of it I found that it still had the original paint on the floors. We don't see that in Washington State; This car was definitely an Arizona or California car as the guy I bought it from said.
Did the paint job with clear coat, including the jambs and trunk and under the hood and put new interior kit, top and bumpers and emblems on it. Got it all freshened up.

THIS IS A VERY NICE 1968 FASTBACK GT S CODE MUSTANG BIG BLOCK 390 .. CURRENTLY DISASSEMBLED FOR MEDIA BLASTING..

I AM ORIGINALLY A FIRST GENERATION CAMARO, Chevelle 66-67, Chevy II 66-67, or Big Block pre 73 Vette GUY BUT THIS CAR LOOKS GREAT..

I HAVE TAKEN IT APART FOR MEDIA BLASTING TOP TO BOTTOM.. ITS A LOT OF FUN AND WILL BE REALLY NICE WHEN DONE..

If you have something I would like send a picture to dgriddick@gmail.com.. This can is very solid.

There are no aftermarket parts on this car... That good looking fender, doors are after media blasting and came out that nice. Car is ready to be dropped off, just have to find time to take it to the shop

If you are interested .. READ ON!!!

AFTER 43 YEARS MEDIA BLASTING TOP TO BOTTOM IS THE ONLY WAY.. DO IT RIGHT OR DON'T DO IT AT ALL. THIS IS NOT BEING DONE WITH SAND OR OTHER HARSH MEDIA THAT CAN DAMAGE THE METAL.. I'M USING THE BEST SHOP IN TOWN!

INCLUDES DELUXE MARTI REPORT, DOCUMENTATION/MAINTENANCE RECORDS, AND DEALER TEMP CARD/TAG

STILL HAS ITS BUCK TAG IN PLACE UNDER THE HOOD!

ALL ORIGINAL SHEET METAL
ORIGINALLY CANDY APPLE RED PAINT WITH WHITE C STRIPE OPTION
ALL CHROME AND TRIM IS ABOVE AVERAGE @ STRAIGHT
VERY LITTLE RUST AT ALL IN THIS 43 YR. OLD CLASSIC BUT I'M TAKING CARE OF THAT NOW

DOES HAVE SOME LOWER QUARTER BUBBLING ABOUT 2 INCHES ON THE DRIVERS REAR 1/4, TYPICAL RUST HOLE UNDER THE BATTERY IN THE APRON,OTHER APRONS ARE PERFECT
HAS A SMALL HOLE IN THE CENTER OF PASSENGER FRONT FLOORBOARD, OTHERS MAY NEED SMALL ATTENTION AS WELL AFTER BLASTING. FINALLY, •THERE IS ALSO A SMALL BIT OF RUST IS A 1" X 2" MAYBE HOLE IN FRONT OF DRIVER REAR WHEEL ON THE QUARTER. NOTHING MAJOR.

FRONT & REAR G.T. VALANCES BLASTED AND EPOXY PRIMERED AS WELL AS THE FENDERS, AND DOORS. BODY GOING TO THE SHOP IN A FEW WEEKS.

THE REST OF UNDERCARRIAGE,FIREWALL,ENGINE BAY,TRUNK PANS ETC. ARE ROCK SOLID!

ENGINE AND TRANS CURRENTLY OUT OF CAR REMOVED CORRECTLY, NO WIRES CUT ANYWHERE UNDER THE HOOD OR THE DASH

• ENGINE RAN GREAT WHEN PULLED, TRANNY NEEDED A REBUILD SO ALL REMOVED. I PULLED THE HEADS... ENGINE LOOKS FINE, COULD RUN AS IS.

THE INTERIOR WAS ORIGINALLY DELUXE PARCHMENT INTERIOR BUT WAS REPLACED WITH ALL NEW BLACK DELUXE INTERIOR AND COMPLETELY BRAND NEW, OVER $5,000.00 SPENT ON IT ALONE BY PREVIOUS OWNER.

HIGH QUALITY INTERIOR PARTS THAT LOOK AND FIT GREAT
HAS THE 140 MILE SPEEDOMETER,8,000 RPM TACH AND WORKING UPDATED CLOCK, OVERHEAD AND FLOOR CONSOLES, CARPET NEW AND NEEDS TO BE CUT FOR SHIFTER

ALSO HAS POWER BRAKES, FOLD DOWN REAR SEAT, AND ITS ORIGINAL AM 8 TRACK RADIO, THE INTERIOR NEEDS NOTHING IT RESTORED AND WAS REMOVED VERY CAREFULLY.

VERY HARD TO FIND FASTBACK MUSTANGS, TRY FINDING ONE THAT IS A GT AND AN S CODE BIG BLOCK-UN-MOLESTED CAR .. EVEN HARDER..

This is an unmolested car. The radio is the only thing that isn't original to it I believe. The wood steering wheel has been replaced due to wear, but it did have one in it already.
