About “The Racecougar”

Where to begin...well, the only stock parts left on this particular car are the body shell, front K-member, trunk lid, doors, and the steering wheel. Take a look at my photos and the modifications list to get an idea on what all has been done to this car. The firewall from a '97 Thunderbird was grafted in (after the car had already been painted, no less) to fit the '97 Thunderbird dash. The roof has an extra brace to accommodate the overhead console/switch panel. The engine started out as a N.O.S. '94 Mark 8 engine purchased from a dismantler in Detroit, which was then stroked to 5.0L with forged internals. A 2.1L Kenne Bell twin-screw supercharger stuffs 10 p.s.i. into the intake runners, and a Snow Performance methanol injection system supplements the 93 octane fuel when under boost to keep detonation at bay.

The car tips the scales at 3602 lbs. with a full tank of gas, is making 478rwhp/390rwtq, and has run a best E.T. of 12.179 @ 113.58 MPH so far.

Here is a video from a 12.4 pass at Gateway Int'l Raceway last season. The car has picked up another 87hp/18tq since then.
