Head to Head

About “#Beater”

I bought the GTZ strictly as a "beater". I had some spare BEretta parts. So I upgraded the suspension and intake. Trade a friend my Z26 wheels for his GTZ wheels. I had to sand them donw and paint them. The wheels were black.

Blackrose Metallic 1995 Z26 with GTZ Blackrose Metallic rims.

Originally purchased as a "Beater". It served its purpose. For $500 I got a little over years use out of it.

Hard to find 1990 Honda Civic Si hatchback!! These cars have quite a following both in the tuner world, as well as the autocross community, & is destined to be a future classic. The tuners love the look of them, as well as the ability to do engine swaps into a very light & nimble car, whereas they have proven to be THE dominant autocross car in the very popular Street Touring (STS) class. In fact, 89-91 Civic Si’s have represented the vast majority of the entries at the national level as they have proven to be very quick an easy to duplicate formula. Needless to say, they work! . This car has quite a few miles on it, but it does run strong however, handles good & shifts nice as well. It is bone stock & original, & with the exception of a correct replacement engine and hubcaps. It has the awesome 1.6 liter 16 valve SOHC 4 cylinder, 5 speed transmission, 4-wheel independent suspension, sport bucket seats, air conditioning, power moon roof, tilt steering wheel, driving lights, & a rear spoiler. It has no power steering, but in a car this light & nimble it doesn’t really need it. As you will see below, it needs just a little TLC to be perfect, but it is a great starting point for that awesome VTEC swap you’ve been wanting to build, or to make into the next national champion Solo 2 machine!! . just smoged march 10 so no smog needed . Smog is valid for 90 days to transfer title. It has a new catalectic converter tune up and oxygen sensor paid $450 3/10/09. New clutch, replacement engine, timing belts, drive belts, water pump, 2/13/07 at 233k. Rebuilt alternator 4/08 $225. New distributor 6/08 $380. New tires Dec 08. 3 rd owner.......1 st owner had the car for about 8 months and put 10x miles on it. second owner had it for 9years. I've it owned for 10 years. It had 114k miles when I purchased it. It now has 258k on it and runs excellent. Seats are in very good condition no cracks in the dash. I have all maintance records back to 1990 SOLD $2400 not bad for 260k miles
Clean title always a California car
$2900.00 or best offer
