just got this awesome car in august, had 2 tow it home and my uncle kept locking the brakes on my 77, finally got it home and went 2 town 2 get a new battery, got home put some gas in it and it runs! I was so happy:), got 2 drive with my dad, he was drivin his 72 mustang and i in transformer, people thought we were racing and we got a ton of WAVES out thier windows:)
2nd Generation (1970-81)
With a longer show room life, this generation replaced the 'coke bottle' years with a more flowing design.
1970 : Pontiac decided to change the appearance substantially to help it's declining sales. Among those changes were painting the bumpers the same color as the body. Other handling changes involved a tweaked suspension and the addition of a rear stabilizer.
1971 : Body changes remained nearly un-altered during this year. Making its debut is the 455 V8 engine with 480 lb-ft at 3600 rpm.
1972 - Proven with sales, this year was one of the worst regarding the fate of the Pontiac. Some minor changes were made, but most of the 1971 Firebird was carried over into 1972.
1973 : With decals covering the hood, the 'Screaming Chicken' was born. Adding to the available engâ
I Traded my 85 IRoc Z28 for this, it supposedly only needed a battery and a carb.... but that wasn't the case. I killed the battery after trying and trying to start, so i put a charger on it and set it to jump start and cranked and cranked and cranked and it finally fired! but wouldn't stay running if it had anything less than half throttle..... sounded good and reved ok, but not much of a driver if it is always at half throttle.... and to top it off he never titled it, but he signed the title back in the mid 90's ..... Sold it awhile back :( kinda miss it!

custom rims, air shocks, 800 watt amp and subwoofer, custom jvc cd stereo, trans am ground effects, camaro spoiler, louvers, and formula hood, quadrojet carberator, and ill be repainting it the original chevy blue
Mods for “F-Bird”
turbo 301 is gone with a 305 Chevy in its place (none turbo'd) cat has been deleted, and flowmaster delta 40's give it a nice tone now.
