About “Gina”
My Z came out of Florida. When I got it from a buddy of mine it was on its second paint job. Originally it was silver with Z package striping. When I bought it it was Black with red stripes that was baked into chalk from its time in the sun. The body was in great shape. No rust and one small dent in the rr quarter. Had to strip the old paint off to the metal, it was so baked and cracked. The motor was excellent, it was all ready built! 355, 11:1 compression, eldelbrock cam, just tore it down to clean it up and replace the gaskets. Slapped some paint on it and wrapped the headers and it was good to go. The interior was in descent shape. I replaced the carpet and the dash. The original dash was ok no cracks but it was warped from the sun. The windshield was cracked so I had to replace it. The tail lights were in one piece but cracked pretty bad.Replaced all of the weather stripping.and rubber. the seats are ok for now. they have been recovered with cloth they have a couple of places that are bad. I will eventually recover them with vinyl. and the meter cluster and lower dash will eventually get replaced. Gave this one to my son. That's him driving it in the pic. I think he likes it!
