i traded a 300 dollar acura integra for this jeep back in february of 2005 and stayed up all night changing the water pump so i could take it on a sand camping trip the next morning.

bald white wall tires the thing did awesome.

drove it for a while and eventually pulled the lift off my old jeep and stuck on it.

the jeep came from minnesota. there is rust EVERYWHERE! i had to cut the old control arms off. actually i drove it for 2 years with no nuts on the lower control arm bolts. they just wouldnt come out. i had to sawzall through them when i changed the arms.

everything about this jeep screams Budget and the ultimate in functionality all in one.

none of my friends have as little money into their rigs as i do yet it seems i can get just as many places as they can and even some they cant.

my cousin with his new unlimited rubicon sahara is the only one that can keep up with me.

sure some of it is because we both have similar offroad driving capabilities but a lot of it is because of the practicality of the rig.

its not about looks its not about how tall your rig is. its not about your tire size. its about how well everything on your rig fits and works together with everything else.

its like a puzzle and all the peices need to fit. you need bigger tires to get axle clearance. you need to lift your rig to get bigger tires. when you lift your rig you raise your CG. the only way around that is to modify the wheel wells.

i think the best bang for the buck is the TJ flares. WAY more clearance and i think they look better and have more clearance than the Bushwhackers. and they're 300 dollars cheaper!

if i could fit 33's on my rig without lifting it. i would.

the lower Center of gravity is very beneficial.

About “Super Jeep”

With Magic lowered, the blizzard had us stuck at home. With the taxes I set out in search of a decent 4x4 and found this gem hiding up in Coyle, OK. It already had the lift and tires on it and I've added the Bushwhacker flares.

 

Specs for “Maj. Flex”

5 speed and a HO 4.0 from a donor 93 cherokee that was T-boned.

Front and rear Aussie lockers, 4.56:1 gears. Dana 44 in the rear.

33x12.50 KM2's (35" MT/R's pictured)

TJ Flare conversion. lots of stickers.

Complete with onboard air, Grant racing wheel

rear sleeping quarters with matress and light switch wired in.

foot supports for behind the captains chairs.

CB, Altimeter, Inclinometer,

Almost every part of this jeep has been fabricated by me.

Magnaflow exhaust

removable doors (all four)

roof rack

the inside is packed with Go Gear, Tire Deflaters, Tire Guage/filler chuck, first aid kit, silverware, all offroad needs and wants are in a crate in the rear at all times, tow strap, extra oil and such, shovels flashlights, garbage bags (very important) propane shower, basic tools.

a true go anywhere do anything jeep. ready to go and STAY at all hours of the day.

5.5 inches of lift, custom sway bar disco's. extended brake lines (finally!!) 1 inch TC drop, and WAY more attitude.

4.0 6 CYL Anyone that's drove one of these knows the straight 6 is stout and quick!

Auto trans, I've got a bad leg so I prefer auto's now.

3.5 inch Tuff Country Lift with 31x10.50x15 Super Swamper TrXus tires on Black Steel wheels.

ummm...A/C? automatic tranny? better gas mileage too i think... small metric tires. ugly wheels, headliner. quiet exhaust. bumpers, yeah i dont know...

Receiver hitch in the rear

Whelen LFL Patriot 6 Strobe, 2 LED lightbar with alleys, take downs and 6 LED arrowstick. Kenwood TK-830 UHF 2 way radio.
