About “Dominique”
This was my grandmother's car that I acquired in 2008. She didn't really take care of it but it was garage kept, so it stayed away from any hard deterioration. I take care of it to the best of my ability, keeping it shiny and intact. I hit a deer in 2010 and paid $2,000 to have most of the front replaced by a local company that knew my family. She also had a factory defect involving the camshaft that caused her to break down twice, but that has since been resolved (to my knowledge). And as of May 2013, I have a freshly rebuilt transmission!
About “Turbo”
1.8L turbo with 85k miles. I bought this GLI in March of 2012. I replaced all the gaskets and installed an AEM Cold Air Intake. The paint was rough, and probably never waxed. I did a complete paint resto to bring back the shine. There's not a swirl or blemish on the paint now. More to come!
