About me and my passion for cars

My earliest memories have been around cars. My dad was a "Hot Rodder" when it was frowned upon in the 1950's and 60's. The earliest cars I remember were a couple of flathead v8 Ford Coupes followed later by a 54, 55 and 56 Fords. He welded a 54 Desoto "hemi" into a 1939 pick up, drove a 57 Desoto hemi car to work daily, Pulled a Uhaul trailer and all our possesions across several states in a Mercury with a 430 v8 which later ended up in a another car that he drove daily. It took a lot of kids and a demanding job to steal his passion for cars away but he transferred it to two of my sisters and me. We would pass him tools as he lay under some car almost weekly. We weren't allowed under the body but could see every thing he did. Any of us could find any size socket in seconds by the time we were 10 years old.
