Snow Performance was very thorough in making sure the Stage 3 MPG Max Boost Cooler arrived with everything to perform the install (minus the tools).

For the time being, no more cheap paint or free car washes for Project GTDI. We are now turning our attention to where the Volkswagen diesel needs the most help—our sub-100 hp 1.9L TDI under the hood. (more…)

The NADM Diesel Country Nationals Had It All
Those who were in Terre Haute, Indiana, for the NADM Diesel Country Nationals got more than they bargained for on May 6 and 7, 2011. Sure, Ron Knoch, one of the head guys at NADM, promised a fun weekend full of drag racing, sled pulling and all-around diesel partying, but even he didn’t know the full extent of the wildness that was to descend upon the show at the Crossroads Dragway and adjoining Wabash Valley Fairgrounds. The really good stuff was inside the tent for the inspection day, including the Geyman collection and some of the rarer tractors.
There are many good reasons to attend a vehicle auction, not the least of which are the buy or sell aspects. Sure, it has all the trappings of a 1,000-cow farm, complete with a state-of-the-art milking facility. Typically, the only diesel vehicles running around the property are trucks used for transporting products and tractors working the fields. (more…)

Simple Upgrades For a Common Rail Daily Driver
For Cummins aficionados, first came the 12-valve, then the 24-valve, and then the common rail version of the 5.9L. Each iteration of the 5.9L was an improvement on the previous-generation’s powerplant. While there is plenty of debate in the Dodge camp as to which version of the 5.9 is most desirable, the most coveted trucks these days are the later-model Dodge with the 5.9L common rail. These trucks offer the latest in styling, plenty of room in the cab, and the fact that the common rail is very easy to modify. (more…)

They say everything is bigger in Texas, and if you look at both the truck count and attendance figures for the National Hot Rod Diesel Association’s annual visit to the Lone Star State, you’d have to agree. Last year’s event was plagued by rainy and cold weather, which hurt attendance, but this year, the Eyes of Texas and the sunshine were upon the NHRDA at the Texas Motorplex, in Ennis, Texas, just outside of Dallas.
