Rain Does Not Deter NADM’s Inaugural Event

We all know the postal carrier motto: Neither rain nor sleet nor dark of night…blah, blah blah…you get the point. The point is the mail is going to get delivered no matter the conditions. In the diesel event business, it’s rare an event continues when Mother Nature deals a bad set of cards.

Such was the case with NADM’s inaugural Buckeye Diesel Blast in Hebron, Ohio. With storms and tornadoes in the area the weekend of June 5th, and a heavy downpour the morning of the event, you could have taken odds in Vegas the event was going to be a wash out. Another event, two hours to the east was called on account of rain, but the folks at NADM, and the track owners at National Trail Raceway… For the rest of the story and more photos from Ohio, be sure to pick up the November 2010 issue of Diesel World, the official magazine of the NADM.

Despite threatening weather all day, the stands were still packed to watch the simultaneous drag racing and sled pulling action.

Dave Radzierez and the AirDog Monster Truck wowed the crowd with high-flying antics.
