Finally, the boxing plates and fillers are finish welded and ground flush. Here’s a look at the finished product after we painted it, using of all things, low gloss rattle can paint from John Deere.

The boxing plate is fit to the frame. There’s a gap at both the leading and trailing edges where the the frame rail is notched. A filler piece is fabbed to fit the gaps and tack welded in place.
The notch allows us to fill the wheel wells with these M&H Racemaster P325-50R15 drag radials mounted on 15 x 10 Billet Specialties wheels. The combination definitely stuffs the fenders perfectly.
