The Auto Club Hosts a day of Horsepower in Sunny SoCal
It was June 18 and the city of Fountain Valley, California, was alive as the echo of horsepower hitting the ground radiated through the air and the annual AAA car show got underway at AAA of Fountain Valley.
The Auto Club’s continued support of sanctioned racing events and car shows demonstrates what this organization is all about, you, the enthusiast. This year’s show brought in everything from hot rods to muscle cars, classics, trucks, bikes and all-out pavement-stomping race cars. A midday cacklefest had participants revving their engines, followed by Blown Alcohol dragsters shaking the ground for the thrill of the crowd and those at the wheel.
Live music from bands, including The Platters, kept attendees on their toes, and with famous fast faces such as Ashley Force Hood, Megan McKernan and Tom “Mongoose” McEwen, it was easy to catch the high-speed fever as the event continued into the afternoon hours.
