Driving, Flying and Working Machines in Half Moon Bay, California
This year’s spectacular 21st annual show took place on Sunday, May 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Half Moon Bay Airport. The location is just 20 miles south of San Francisco off of the legendary Highway 1.
And, while it is all done in the name of fun, the show benefits a great cause in need of your support, the Coastside Adult Day Health Center.
Half Moon Bay’s massive annual celebration of mechanical ingenuity, power and style is a remarkable show-and-tell spectacle, an outdoor museum for a day, featuring 2,000 magnificent driving, flying and working machines from the 20th and 21st centuries. There was everything from early gasoline and steam-powered engines, hot rods, muscle cars, aircraft and motorcycles on the airport’s grounds. Heck, there was even a jet-powered bicycle! In short, a feast for the senses for motorheads!

- Between all of the early engines, classics, muscle cars, trucks, hot rods and motorcycles they had parked airplanes! If there wasn’t something at this show that got your heart pumping, then you just might not be a gearhead.
- In the center of the area where all of the incredible food vendors were set up, several live bands played throughout the show.
- We would be willing to bet that the owner of this van is ready to go camping at a moment’s notice.
- Cory Dunlap brought out his amazingly clean Chevy Colorado. It featured custom air ride suspension and custom paint.
