New Vintage Three-in-One Instrument Sets

Running out of room in your dash? New Vintage has taken all of your pertinent information and placed it in one gauge package. The 4 3/8-inch gauges feature programmable speedometer, tachometer, voltmeter, oil pressure, water temperature and a GM-match fuel level gauge. The high-tech stepper motor movements and LED lighting behind the scenes are the core of the units, and the styling carries on what New Vintage designers have started with in their famous Woodward and 69 Series.

Each gauge features integrated turn signals and warning lamps, sending units, mounting hardware and color-coded wiring harnesses for easy installation. As always, the gauges are built in the New Vintage shop in Detroit and with a five-year warranty.

Need to monitor other vitals? New Vintage has a full line of boost, AFR, EGT, oil temp, and pretty much any other instrument to match these sets to keep your dash tidy and cohesive.

The new 68 Series (pictured) three-in-one gauges have the flavor of 1967-68 Camaro and Firebirds, and are also available with a mounting bracket to install in the stock dash. New Vintage will also be releasing the three-in-one instruments in its Performance, 1967 and Redline Series later this year.

E-Brake Kit for Ford Rears From Wintec

Wintec Fabrication has released a bolt-on emergency/parking brake kit that’s extremely street rod friendly for 8- and 9-inch Ford rears. It’s an easy way to incorporate an E-brake if your rear brakes are not equipped with that ability.

The easy-to-install kit includes the caliper mounting bracket, caliper and pads, 8 ¾-inch-diameter rotor with mounting hardware, high strength U-joint girdles and an 8-foot trimmable cable kit with a chrome floor-mounted handle.

BBK Engine Swap Friendly Headers

These headers are for the installation of the 2011 Ford 5.0L Coyote engine with a standard trans into the Fox Body and SN95 Mustangs. The X-pipe positions the outlets in the same location as stock for connection to any stock-style cat-back system. This swap is going to be red hot soon, so BBK has led the field by introducing its full-length headers and X-pipe (not pictured) for the installation of the new Coyote 5.0 into the 1986-2004 Mustangs.

The new Coyote swap headers from BBK Performance are offered with 1 ¾-inch primary tubes and come in chrome or polished ceramic finish.  Stainless versions could be offered in the future. A matching 3-inch X-pipe is also available in an off-highway or catted version.

Serious enthusiasts will purchase these headers knowing that tuning their the engines would be standard practice, BBK tried to go a step further and provided an extra O2 sensor port in the driver side collector for the connection of a wideband monitor. The headers come with the needed hardware, gaskets, O2 sensor wire extensions and an instruction sheet with a few install tips.

Lunati Reveals new Signature Series I-Beam Connecting Rods

Lunati has taken the wraps off its all-new 4340 alloy steel Signature Series connecting rods. As direct replacements for its successful FM (fully machined) series, these new race-ready I-beam forgings are 100 percent sonic tested and Magnaflux inspected. In addition, they are manufactured to extremely close tolerances (.0005-inch between centers), weight matched to plus or minus 1 gram, and heat treated to 28-30 on the Rockwell C scale. They are made to the most precise standards Lunati knows and are available in sizes from 5.4 to 6.4 inches.

Precision-machined and with close attention to detail, these aircraft-quality, mill-certified connecting rods are ideal for use in circle track, drag race, off-road or marine applications. Indeed, they suit all naturally aspirated and forced-induction engines that are subjected to high engine speeds and stresses.

For 2.100 and 2.000-inch crankpins, the Signature Series connecting rods are supplied with 7/16-inch bolts; for smaller 1.889-inch crankpins (Honda journal) 3/8-inch bolts are provided. All bolts are of the ARP2000 Series.
