About 5th Annual Virginia Fall Classic

Description

Once again the Virginia Peninsula Car Club Council (VPCCC), Newport News Police Department (NNPD), Newport News Sheriff's Dept (NNSD) and the Newport News Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department (NNPR&T) are partnering with organizations who serve as event sponsors of the 5th Annual Virginia Fall Classic (VFC). The VFC is several Charity Events with a Car and Motorcycle Show at the center of it. All proceeds from the events will be donated to the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters (CHKD) for their facility on the peninsula in Newport News, Virginia.

The first year's charity car show had nearly 200 vehicles and over $9,000.00 was raised; second year's event had over 400 vehicles and raised $18,454.31; the third year had 300 and raised $30,084.80. Last year, despite the rain and having to delay the show till Sunday, we had nearly 300, BUT we were able to donate $35,519.07.

This year's events will be held on October 26th, 27th & 28th, 2007 in the Newport News City Park and at Ferguson Enterprises Inc. The different events are open to the public with free admission for all spectators. (A small donation is requested for the car & bike show spectator parking
held on 10/27). The car & bike show is open to all makes and models of antique, classic, muscle, hot rods, and modern vehicles, motorcycles and special vehicles made with today's modern technology. Also, there will be displays of unique vehicles.

Phoenix Specialty Coatings has donated gift certificates for powder coating services.
