Mar 11, 2008 at 1:17 pm: Glad you are planning to attend! Last year was a blast! I m serving as PR Chair for the event again this year. Last year we had 230,000 people there so I guess I did my job! Over 13,000 cars and lots of fun! Note that 28th Street is under construction this summer from 131 to Division so it may be a little hiccup but I am sure we will manage. The chamber is attending meetings with MDOT to clarify the problems. Did you notice that the Futurliner is coming this year also? Lots of new great stuff!

Mar 11, 2008 at 12:25 pm: Yeah, thats probably going to be the common theme at car cruise ins, shows etc...Gas costs too much...Luckily I live in Hastings only 35 miles to 28th street. I`ve been there for the first three and plan on being here for the 4th. Last year was the first year in a decade at least that I didnt make it to the Woodward Cruise because of the price of gas, hotel, food etc...
Wonder when the world will switch to Jetson style air cars.....maybe then their will be cheaper gasoline?
