I'm not sure about the rest of you but every single time I turn around, my '76 Trans Am seems to have it's glove box open asking for more money in preparation for the run.
I won't say how much I've had to sink into what I thought was a rock-solid car needing little to hit the road, but this little rant will give you at least a bit of an idea...
On the twelve day before the Bandit Run, my Trans Am demanded of me
Twelve gallons of 93 octane
Eleven ethanol resistant fuel lines
Ten new CDs spinning
Nine days at the mechanic
Eight spark plugs sparking
Seven days of painting
Six hours of waxing
Five quarts of oil
Four BFGs
Three brand-new fan belts
Two radiator hoses
And a sending unit in my tank (not free)
If you want to figure out who I am on the run, just look for the guy with an open guitar case singing the blues and taking donations.

Yeah, here too.. the rim I needed turns out the shop can't get.. and took them 3 weeks to tell me after they billed me.. my line lock isn't going well... my transmission went out... I somehow misplaced my lugnut key for my rims.. so I can't get the new set for the run like I wanted.. just seems to be one thing after another...

HMMMMM, not sure i have the same issues, but still not gunna make it. 10th still way aways from making its colorful debut. Maybe Nats if the gas prices dont force me to sell just so i can afford to buy gas.
the oil companies need to get a grip!!! Glad to see you are going to make it Robert, have enough fun for me too. I dont think i will tell Mac to do that, he would probably end up in a Georgia jail or sumn. i cant have that on my conscience.
