Ok, give me some time to get things organized. I usually send several pics per email to not jam up your inbox. The movie tour sign in is on the main page or email me directly at: thambrick@numail.org for sign up. I purchased the script book years ago, but don't remember from where, probably ebay. thanks. . . I was five years old when the movie came out and we lived in Jonsboro at the time. I can remember riding around with my mother and her friend when they were filming. They'd just missed the filming of the red light scene after Bandit leaves Snowman's house. I can still remember seeing all those black marks on the road and how excited they were that they *might* get to see Burt lol!

My Dad bought my Trans-Am after the movie came out...several years later, Mother got it in the divorce and kept it. When I turned 16, I got it...I still have the original papers from the sale and the books that were in the glove box boxed up somewhere at my Mother's in Alabama. Unfortunately, I sold the car in 98 and have regretted it every second since. The Army was moving husband, baby and I to Alaska though and as all T/A owners can surely attest - that car just ain't a snow going, 50 below driving machine lol. I sure do wish I knew then what I know now...it could have sat for four years until we got back to the lower 48.

I loved that car...I still know the VIN # by heart LMAO.

Anyhow, I've never found anyone else as crazy about the movie and the T/A as I am - until tonight! Great site and great forum! Sure wish I could take the road trip coming up...gosh, you all going are so lucky!!! I hope someone will take lots of photos and share them with all of us who can't make the trip!

I'm going the United States next spring to do a road trip, coast-to-coast. I will be driving west to east and on the way I will be going by Texarkana to Atlanta. I'm thinking of trying to do this in the same timeframe as in the movie, although that seems a bit risky.

However, i think it would be a lot more interesting to see some of the actual filming locations that were used in the movie and i'm trying to come up with addresses or GPS-coordinates. Some of you seem to know pretty much about these places and any information would be helpful.

If you know anything that might help, please don't hesitate to contact me.

I received several emails from one of the actors in the movie. He gave me alot of information and I decided to share it on my website.

Let me say first and foremost:

I did not write these letters, nor can I validate any of the information contained in them. It might vary from some previous information posted about the movie. Therefore, my intent is not to start a huge uproar, but only to post information as it was sent to me. You can be the judge. Here is the link to my web page:
