   challenges are getting absolutely ridiculous, nobody actually votes on cars now.
   
   its all a big group voting match and never about the cars any more.
   
   pretty sad, about a year ago the challenges were legit and fun, now its not even worth entering them.

   I PERSONALLY THINK THE PROBLEM IS THAT A GROUP OF 120 MEMBERS WITH ONLY ABOUT 40 OF THEM VOTING CAN CONTROL A 5000 MEMBER SITE IS THAT WHEN PEOPLE GET CHALLENGED THEY ONLY VOTE THEIR CHALLENGE THEY DON'T VOTE ALL THE CHALLENGES BUT THEY EXPECT EVERY ONE TO VOTE ON THEIRS
   I THING MOTORTOPIA SHOULD CHANGE THE CHALLENGE RULES
   
   1 YOU CAN NOT ACCEPT A CHALLENGE OR MAKE A CHALLENGE UNTIL YOU HAVE VOTED ON AT LEAST 25 CHALLENGES "OR THE # STATED BY MOTORTOPIA"
   
   2. IF YOU WANT TO CHALLENGE TWO CARS THEN YOU MUST VOTE 50 CHALLENGES.

   Honestly, I wish they would do away with challenges. So many people leave the site over them. Nothing but hurt feelings and discontent. When I recommend a new member I try to stress that the challenges are something they might want to wait on.

   my .02 if you dont like challenges dont do them, dont lose then whine about it. everybody here knows they are a joke, when i first joined years ago they were a joke. as long as theres a site that allows members to speak to each other or create any sort of friendship that friend is gonna vote for friend over car no if's ands or butts. and i agree with the judge a group with 40 or less active members control the entire outcome on challenges. simply put either dont participate, do something about it, or stop complaining

   If anyone has ideas how to make challenges work better, we'd like to hear them! Although there is a lot of discontent about them, they do generate a large portion of traffic on the site. If we just got rid of them, there would be a lot more discontent. (we tried it once.)
    

    

   Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

   I agree it seems challeges ruin ones status on there car garage. That shouldn't be what this site is about. Boosting one ego over another just doesn't cut it for me. It has become a means of recklessness

   Well Mort, why don't you not allow the good or the bad vote from being posted to ones garage. My two cents. Do you really think it's fair for someone to have countless loser votes in there garage?

   I know we cannot really do away with Challenges. Perhaps if a person would look at the current and past challenges of a possible opponent, they could see whether the voting was lop sided or not.
   
   It seems that complaining about it on the main page is only going to get more votes for your opponent.

   I took a leave myself of Motortopia and other car sites as well as It just kind of took a lot of my off time.
   So I decided to not participate anymore and I don't accept Challenges anymore from anyone anyway.
   Jerry and Mary were probably right as I just didn't feel like coming back anymore due to some comments in Challenges and Garages.
   It was getting nasty and it was turning us off and that's not what we are here for.
   
   I sure didn't like the previous voting on peoples rides and pictures cause they would just vote one on everyone elses car in hopes to increase there's to get it higher on a list or page and made for some bad feelings.
   It just looks rigged or favoratism.
   
   As for Challenges. Like SCC24540 mentioned.
   Groups or Friends are going to vote for there own, Like a Family would stick together even if a competitors car is better with more horsepower and more customized than what they have themselves.
   Dodge people will more than likely vote for Mopars and FoMoCo fans will be with Fords and Bowtie Fans will be with Chevies etc....
   Or it will be model groups like Firebird Trans Am's or Camaro Clubs Mustangs and even our Monte Carlo's. It's not going to change unless something changes it. Unfortunate but that's all there is to it.
   Hey some people put scantily clad bikini girls or there kids or pets in there pics to maybe help increase voting for them. But if it works, Hey good for them!
   But I'm here for the Vehicles Cars Trucks Racecars and see what everyone has done to there ride. Not here for Boobtopia.
   I like it just as a big car show from people all over the world.
   
   I think for one, More options in the voting would be better. Not that it would change or help anything.
   But I think it seriously needs some revisions!

    Challenges are the same everywhere, People are going to support their friends .
    Its always been that way , But you can still have fun with it , if your not a sore loser. Join a group and make friends and start a group , if we get alot of groups challengeing it would be fun . I dont care to Lose , I just like to Play and Be friends with members of all groups . But ya have a few people that hate to lose and try and start wars . Go with the flow and everybody join a challenge group and there wont be any blowouts . I want to be friends with everybody and play in the challenges . They dont mean anything its just a fun game , If everyone has Noticed The DOG POUND has quit challenges and voteing for awhile . and everyday the number of challenges has gone down ,and will continue , Ive already noticed that there is fewer comments in forums and site is getting boreing . People come here to meet and talk about cars but they need the challenges to keep interest , This site will lose more members than ever if challenges dont start back up ,than just putting up with a few cry babies .
