When enough is enough and nothing gets resolved ...
You probably are dealing with the N.S.M.C.
Once they have your lifetime membership you are on your own!
They won't do anything when they are the ONLY one's who can.
They make promises which are NOT kept
and this topic's post is so others know that they will get burned by the club.
THESE ARE THE ACTUAL ISSUES:
1) When I first started they sent a real nice hard cover book which said if I return it no more will come ... hey - it REALLY was a NICE book so I paid for it thinking the collection will be a nice thing to have.
That was the LAST ONE - had I known it wasn't going to continue - I would not have bought the first one. I called them and was told they would continue them ... that was over a year ago ... STILL waiting!
2) I was enlisted to coordinate my first car show for the town through the Parks & Rec Dept..
Being a LIFETIME member of the N.S.M.C. I thought it would be good to offer them a chance tp get the word out as a show sponsor.
I told them it was a TOWN show - so cash sponsor's were NOT really needed.
I was thinking some back issue's of the magazine would make some awesome goody bag give away (I must admit the stuff they put to print is REALLY NICE!!)
They told me to send in an application and someone would definately contact me.
Seriously - if they said "sorry but we can't" it really wouldn't be an ISSUE - it's the LIE that is wrong!
3) On their website they had a forum for members - it didn't work well - so they discontinued it - shut it down so NO ONE CAN ACCESS any of it ...
Guess what - since they did THAT - it (the OLD FORUM) now sends out an activity update EVERY DAY with no activities posted because it's closed.
I have sent to back to them EVERY TIME I GET IT ...
No One RESPONDS .... I get the damn thing every day and there is NO WAY to shut it off Member Access is turned off ...
4) The last free tool to try and write a report on was a digital tire gauge ... the first time I tried it on the FIRST tire - it BROKE ...
wooo hoooo!
In My Opinion folks need to know that they make stunning printed material ....
but EVERYTHING ELSE is worthless ... so - I you want to join for the magazine they send every 2 months - it's on you!
Just remember - like Clark Howard call's it - Customer "No Service" is their MAIN QUALITY!
Hope this helps someone else ....Take It To The Edge .... Tomorrow May Not Arrive!

Every thing you have stated is true, also a life time member, I think is a publishing company selling the books and anything else they can get you to buy. I also got the same tire gauge and also a 99 cent package of duct tape to test, what a joke. Looks like a small group of people found a way to get free item from manufactures and keep the best for themselves. The need for is growing and spring is time to bring out the BARR"S AM for the shake down run, hope all of you are ready as I am.
