   Hi guys just joined the Motortopia site and looking forward to joining the Ontario Z car club in the next week or two. Looking forward to meeting you all and tapping into the expertise here to help me with my new car. My first car way back was a 1972 240Z, followed by a 510 winter car. I am a recent owner of a beautiful 1981 280zx turbo which I bought from an older gentlemen who was a member of your club. I also have a lot of fun with my 94 Subaru SVX.... Anyway just wanted to introduce myself.... Oh and if anyone knows what happended to my old 1972 240z (Blue with wide tires on the back and flared fenders I'd love to see her again if she is still alive. I sold it to a fellow ( a mechanic I believe) in Hagersville. I saw it around for about a year and then never saw it again... Maybe someone on here now owns it...

   Welcome to the OZC forums and good to hear from a potential new member. You can download our membership form from this site. Go to the Files banner and open up the "Other" menu and you'll find the form. Or come out to Z-Fest on August 24 at Christie Lake, join up there and your old Zed may be there, over 80 of them expected. Z-Fest flyer under the Events banner.

   Yes I am planning to go to ZFest for sure but i hope to get to the London races as well.... i have a picture of my old Z now in my Motortopia garage... as it was many years ago. I think I sold it in about 85....

   Well about 20 minutes ago I joined the Ontario Z Car owners.
   
   Three weeks ago I purchased "BabyZ" a 1981 280ZX Turbo, t-roof, leather, loaded car. The original owner use to belong to the club and got it from his grandmother who bought the car new.
   
   This has been, and will continue to be a very well cared for and loved car. It is in amazing condition without exageration.
   
   Years ago I rebuild a 1972 Datsun 240Z from the ground up, It was a bucket of rust, but a great learning experience. it turned out "not too bad" but I wouldn't park it anywhere near "BabyZ".
   
   I've owned two Miata's in the recent past, a 1991 Mazda LE (BRGTan Leather) and a 1992 LE (YellowBlack). I drove the 1991 for a number of years, did some modifications but got sick of trying to the pass emissions. I sold it to a guy north of North Bay (no emission test required) with 218,000 km and still running strong.
   
   To compare the 280ZXTT to a Miata makes little sense as they are not league. Both are great car, but this 280ZX is my keeper. I love driving it. I love not seeing 10 just like it on the weekend, and I love punching it and smoking most other cars in the immediate area.
   
   I'm looking forward to bringing the car out to some events, especially ZFest.
