Way too much to take in on this topic, so if this was already mentioned then forgive. The thing I keep seeing everyone talking about is whiners and group voting. I realized along time ago that only those in groups have a chance of winning and only those new to the site, that haven't learned the 'rules', are the whiners. I could care a less about the challenges section of this site, it's not why I come here, but since the groups are going to rule this feature then I think you guys should set some polices within your groups on how to handle newbies. For a while every time someone new joined the site it seem they got bombarded with challenges from all of the groups, and even though it's a game, when their car loses by such a drastic amount it does become upsetting and they're bound to complain. I say if you want to partake in the challenges then keep it only between the groups, give the newbies some time to adjust to the site and possibly joining a group or two before ganging up on them. And by now everyone should know how to turn off the challenge feature on their garage, if not ask and I'm sure a lot of people would be glad to assist...otherwise simply decline the challenge request.BigDog

well all i'm trying to say is, i put hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars in my cars, and having them get beat by almost 90% of the vote from stock cars that people have never even looked under the hood of is discouraging no matter how many times it happensRun what you brung.
no exceptions. -

I feel same way ,But look at it this way , Ive never seen your car in person and have never met you. So who to vote for on a site where you cant inspect every car or meet every owner in person. Anybody can write a great description of a car and be totaly False .
So what to do about something that makes no since and is not going to mean NOTHING and you dont win NOTHING and you dont lose NOTHING .
DONT PLAY , its a internet game where people meet and talk and hopefully get to know one another to a certain degree.
So Back to voting on a internet game , Who do I vote for ? ??
I vote for my friends because thats who I talk to and joke around with , I could care less what they drive ,FOR a GAME .BUT I do enjoy other parts of site where I can look at all the cars ,because the owner of cars dont matter when Im enjoying the cars for what they are.
SO if ya want to play and joke and cut up ,join a group and Challenge all ya want.
But if ya cant take getting BEAT and JOKED around with , DONT PLAY and enjoy other parts of site .
BUT AS FOR ME , IM going to play a game that I enjoy and win or get beat as many times as I like .

If anyone has ideas how to make challenges work better, we'd like to hear them! Although there is a lot of discontent about them, they do generate a large portion of traffic on the site. If we just got rid of them, there would be a lot more discontent. (we tried it once.)
I think you should have a group challenge section, you can only challenge or be challenged if your in a group. the group should not be any larger then say 20 or 30
people per group you must prove you own your ride or you cant join the group.
that way if you dont want to play the game, dont join a group and maybe have a point
spread. (something like that other site
) oh yea one more thing you can only vote
if your in a group and only be in one group at a time if you leave you have to wait 30 days to join an other!

Same things have been said in past , NOBODY listens or cant do anything
Best thing if they cant fix it is for people who dont agree with how its going and dont like to be beat is DONT PLAY .
If enough groups are formed just for Challenges and everyone understands that the groups are going to support their members , it can be fun because people outside the 2 groups involved in challenge would really decide winner .
If people understood this no one would have right to get mad.

This is like a group of thugs that hang out at the public park. If you don't like getting beat up, then just don't go to the park, right?
Challenges would be awesome if the group mentality didn't exist, and the people honestly voted on the cars themselves, just as you would at a car show. You don't size up the car owner and vote by who he knows. That is what the intention was when it was designed.
OTOH, this isn't an easy thing to solve online. You try to squash one problem, and other problems present themselves. I like the appointed judges idea, but I just don't see how that would work. As soon as judges make some decisions someone doesn't like, another uproar will start, protesting that the whole thing is unfair.Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Its funny you put it like that cause I brought my truck for a show on Oahu and as soon as the judges found out I was from Kauai, I didnt even place, I got beat out by a truck that looked liked it wasnt washed in 2 months and another that was lowered with spinning hubcaps!
On another note when I took my truck to Maui for a show I took 1st in full size and best of show BUT.............. the judges at that show were from the mainland and wernt biased to locals because they were from the mainland.
My point is that people will usually take care of who they know over who they dont, thats what friendship usually boils down to.click the Sig to view my battles!

special thanks to Simon for the hook up!! -
