About me and my passion for cars

Well, you could say I should have been a boy......at least that's what Daddy was hoping for. But he got ME. I started loving cars around 5 years old. Why? Cause my Dad was a true and talented mechanic and dearly treasured and loved CARS. So I grew to be a tomboy, and helped out in the garage anytime I could. I took many engines apart for my Dad but he was the master of making Hot Rods, Street Rods and "sleepers". I started driving around 6, by sitting on Dad's lap, while he "supervised" I would shift and was able to touch all petals, as I was tall for my age, (still am) and like Alan Jackson song......."When Daddy let me Drive" sums it all up. Also the song "Chrome" by Trace Adkins!!!

I saw, drove and was able to enjoy many neat and awesome cars due to Dad. He passed away when I was 20 and for many years the "cars" sat in Mom's garage. 3 1947 Fords with 327 Chev enginers, 2 1956 Thunderbirds, one Robin's Egg Blue, the other Raven Black, (still have the 56 black bird only 22,000 original miles) 2 American Bantams, a Shelby Mustang from 1960's, and my own "collection" as I got to driving age

I had a ton off Trans Am's, Firebirds and any Ford with a big motor then one day.......went CHEV......been a Chev girl ever since. My dream car was always the 1970 Chevelle SS 454 / Blue w/ white stripes. Which I found Aug of 2009 in Virginia and brought her home to Kansas City. I cried for a week and kept going out to garage to make sure I wasn't dreaming !!!!

I am now a tomboy who can dress in boots and jeans to black dress and heels. As long as I can drive........I will. I ALWAYS wanted to be a Race Car driver, Drag or Circle but "back then" girls didn't do that............HELLO? I am living my dream now, and joining up with a driving school out of Ohio to earn my way onto the track. Who says we have to grow up? Not me!!!!!

I am OLD SCHOOL thru and thru. Love Rat Rods, 32 Rodsters and all GM Muscle from the 60's and 70's.
